Default One year in, give me your top 5 Rebirth titles

It's been a great year for DC Comics since Geoff Johns moved things back in the right direction. Rank the top 5 titles in the Rebirth era.

    Here's mine:

    1. Superman
    2. Deathstroke
    3. Wonder Woman
    4. Green Arrow
    5. Action Comics

King's Batman would make my list if the whole run was as good as I Am Suicide. But the other arcs were inconsistent.

What is this, the third or fourth "Top 5 Rebirth Titles" thread? XD Anyway, the past few months really have soured my opinion that things actually are moving in the right direction. Overall, still better than the Nu52, but with things not completely going back to the way they once were, other things still being changed, and some things still continuing from Nu52 elements, Rebirth is so far not the triumph I was hoping for.

But there are still some books I really like. Here's my current Top 5:

    1. New Super-Man
    2. Aquaman
    3. Detective Comics
    4. Green Lanterns
    5. (TIE) Red Hood and the Outlaws/ Green Arrow

HONORABLE MENTIONS: Superman and Super Sons. Amazing, amazing, amazing books...I'm just not reading them.

    1.) Deathstroke
    2.) Super Sons
    3.) Batman
    4.) Flash
    5.) Superman

I've been pretty disappointed by Rebirth a year in. Most titles were surface level changes and few books actually improved in quality dispite paying homage to older status quos. I'm not even reading 5 titles anymore. I've switched to reading Batman in trade, and Superman has completely lost me in recent arcs.

I find that too many books are focusing on the changing continuity or restoring status quo rather than telling good stories. It's no surprise then that Deathstroke, the series that immediately rewrote continuity off the back and is now telling the story that the writer wants to tell, comes in at the top of the pack.
It's the Dynamic Duo! Batman and Robin!... and Red Robin and Red Hood and Nightwing and Batwoman and Batgirl and Orphan and Spoiler and Bluebird and Lark and Gotham Girl and Talon and Batwing and Huntress and Azreal and Flamebird and Batcow?

Since when could just anybody do what we trained to do? It makes it all dumb instead of special. Like it doesn't matter anymore.

Supporting LION FORGE COMICS and other independent publishers.

Check out Lion Forge's Catalyst Prime Universe. Its the best damned superhero verse in comics. Diverse characters and interesting stories set in a universe where anyone can be a hero. And company that prides itself on representation both in the comics themselves and in the people behind them.

Oh my goodness gracious! I've been bamboozled!

Funny, I thought there were more than that.

(And I still can't honestly come up with a "Top 5" . . . there are too few Rebirth titles that I feel would consistently belong on such a list.)

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

    1. Batman - I have loved everything Tom King has done with Batman, even if it took me a while to catch up with him. Fast becoming my favorite run on Batman, period.
    2. Deathstroke - Almost tied with Batman for me. I didn't even like the character before the Priest run. Priest has me caring about an enormous supporting cast and on the edge of my seat.
    3. Superman - The Tomasi/Gleason team is just great. I feel like the current arc is sagging some but this has been the most consistently fun book this side of Young Animal.
    4. Wonder Woman - So freaking sorry to see the current team go. I had no idea I could love a Greg Rucka book like I have Wonder Woman and the art has been tremendous.
    5. Green Lanterns - Second most fun Rebirth book. I know a lot of people love HJ&GLC but I find the writing of that one flat while I feel like this book soars each and every month. How wonderful to have such incredible new characters. Baz and Cruz are two of the best new characters to come around in a while and it's all credit to the creators of this book.

But for my money the best two books DC is publishing aren't Rebirth titles. They're Doom Patrol and Bug: Forager.

    I could name 10 more I like a lot.

But BOOOO on Justice League and JLA, DC!!

    BOOOOOO!!!!!

Please, please fix this. And I'm ready for my JSA now please.
