Ha! Well, snow and I have never greeted each other as family were determined for some game reason to live in the bug capitol of the US of A. But even Alaska has blood suckers galore and spiders are Everywhere. What's a phobic to do? Pitch tent in a Raid factory?

At least this area isn't tropical where the roaches are big enough for kids to ride on. Or the spiders. The palm-sized wolfies are bad enough.
Parental care is way exhausting. Gained insight into what my parents went through when I was a baby. Not fun, but what ya gonna do? (Read comics, obviously.)

I guess if you have a steady supply of roaches from the sewage system, no amount of poison or traps in your home would work. You might have to move.

Caulk your gaps and if you don't have kids or pets, put down some boric acid powder maybe with some glue strips. You can mix the boric with cocoa, flour, and sugar. It takes about 6 weeks to get rid of them as they usually go through 2-3 cycles of 2 weeks.
