Classic: what literally everyone is saying

Modern: Rogue, Laura, Kitty/Emma (if they'd play up a rivalry)

Jean, Storm and Rogue seems to be the logical answer. However, I've seen a lot of vote for Psylocke, Kitty and Emma on the internet. I want to confirm with this poll.

Exactly and without question. Jean, Storm, and Rogue are the iconic X-Women.

Storm, Jean and Rogue. But I think Kitty is a close 4th, then Psylocke as 5th and Emma as 6th.

I think most people voting for Psylocke, Emma and to some extent Kitty are voting on who they like the most, not who's popular/famous/important enough to be considered the "X-Men Female Trinity".

Jean and Storm are the easy answers. The third is a little harder to pin down. I voted for Kitty, but Rogue was probably the more "correct" choice.

It is amazing how much of an impact the 90's animated series still has in 2017....
    I co-host a podcast about comics. Mostly it's X-Men comics of the 90's.

I do agree, but I could get behind removing Jean Grey because of her irrelevance in the last 15 years.

But for me it is Storm, Jubilee and Kitty. But I deny reality and replace it with my own.

Emma has taken Rogue's spot over the past decade or so but no point debating with nostalgia inflicted blindness.

If we're like counting time only, than she has like 10+ years from Storm and some more to the rest to make up for that, back from the time when she was the only woman on the team(and spinoff stuff from that time like X-Men First Class comics). And Teen Jean has been here for quite some time, and even if she's not the same as the older Jean, she's still "Jean Grey" in brand(Idk how to explain that exactly, but I think you can get what I mean lol) and so that counts too.

Besides that, she's always on other X-Men media. Like in literally every X-Men cartoon, both the old and newer movies, all the current Marvel games that have X-Men plus most of the older ones too. Also, Dark Phoenix Saga is pretty much the most iconic female centered story of the X-Men.
