Storm, Wolverine, and Cyclops easily. Honorable mention goes to adult Jean Grey.

Scott, Logan/James/Steve/whothehellcares, and Ororo.
Adult Jean's not been relevant for years. And Teen Jean is right out!
Funny that three out of the four are dead, at the moment. (Scott, Jean and schitz-wolf.)
Cike, Logan and Storm.
or
Cike, Logan and Jean.
It's basically Jean vs Storm for the third spot.
It SHOULD be defined as a quartet, but Jean has been dead too long.
Classic: Cyclops, Storm, Logan
Modern: Kitty, Sunspot/Rogue (represent X-Men branching out), Emma
Yeah... But then stay on as an active member on team where it's very obvious that she's 2nd in command? I could understand of she removed herself from active duty, possibly taking the spot Emma should have in Generation-X, simultaneously boosting sales on that doomed title. But water under the bridge... I'm just a reader. Marvel doesn't take much of my kinds consideration into account.

Realistically speaking about fictional matters. | Nutcases need not respond. | Stay outta my DMs. | Why does the "House of Ideas" keep duplicating characters?! | If an idea or belief cannot stand up to criticism it's probably... bad.
Cyclops, Storm and Wolverine. Sorry but Jean doesn't come that close for me. There has been a big push for Jean the past few years, with TeenJean and it seems her relevance is coming back. Jean is a great character, don't get me wrong but she doesn't make the Trinity. I do not think Jean would be as beloved if it wasn't for the Phoenix storyline and her sacrifices. Those were the only things that really started making people interested in her. Storm however, has been a powerhouse and fan favorite from the jump. Interesting from the get, and a staple as field leader for extremely long tenures. Storm most definitely deserves a spot in the trinity.
Not only that, but I think Storm/Wolverine/Cyclops are all interesting foils to each other when they all lead. They seem to keep each other in check.
Cyclops and Wolverine are easily there, after that it gets a bit iffy. I think its a toss up between Storm and Jean. Personally i'd probably give the edge to Jean because her presence (even while dead) has had a huge impact and still drives much of the narrative whereas Storm hasn't been as impactful in a long while. To try and explain it another way, my feeling is that you could substitute many other characters for Storm without too much trouble or really changing the overall story too much but you couldn't reasonably pull that off with the other three. It hasn't always been that way but it has been for a very long while. This is also not intended as a slight to Storm or her fans but I don't think Marvel has used Storm in a really meaningful way since Claremont. (Under who's pen this would be a very different list)
