Nate Grey (bar none favorite; particularly before he went all Shaman but after he ditched the blue and gold costume and just started wearing street clothes).

Emma (she was paired up with Cyke for more than a decade and is the mother of one his many alternate future kids)
Cable (particularly when he was hanging with Irene Merryweather)
Rachel (its a pity she only gets to be a character when her mom is dead and/or Hope is nowhere to be found)
Hope (especially during the implied "reincarnation of Jean" period).

I split out this tier because I think that particular grouping has the most interesting family dynamics due to the ostensible patriarch being younger than his son, Emma's position as "step-mom" and her strained relationship with step-daughter Rachel and Hope as the bratty youngest child who might also be the reincarnation of Scott's first love and Rachel's mother. Taken as a whole I'd put this grouping above even Nate Grey as my favorite because it could practically be its own team book with a lot of the bases covered; Emma's got the strong/invulnerable diamond form, Cable's got teleport tech and is easily on par with Wolverine in terms of most skilled combatant, Hope's got power mimicry, Rachel's got TK and shares telepathy with Emma and Cyke as the energy projector.
