Why can't we have a proper Hanna-Barbera and DC mini-series in Classic form ?

The main barrier is that out-of-continuity stories aren't seen as potential speculator investments. They're not going to cause changes in other books. The idea is that out-of-continuity stories are easily forgotten, inconsequential and not sought after by collectors.

I would have agreed with this in the 80's and 90's... but now?? Not only is continuity and comprehensive storytelling tossed out and looked down on.... The collector market is dead. Nobody is really seeking that special issue in the back of the singles bin anymore when everything has been collected in tpb and downloaded digitally. the whole market has changed to the point where I don't think these would be considered a wall anymore.
