    Not really cheating,but....
There was a period in X-Factor where Warren was planning on making a move on Jean, while he was still dating Candy Southern, he was also wondering if he should tell Jean about Scotts wife and child to mess up the chance of those two getting together and cockblocking him.
The early X-Factor issues were just packed with over the top drama.

Man, those years were rough. 'Let's resurrect Jean and make her incredibly heroic self-sacrifice actually something done by some other entity pretending to be her, so that we can reunite the original five X-Men as mutant-hunters, working for a guy who hates mutants, which will require us to also destroy Scott's relationship with his wife and child and de-Beast-ify Beast, and make drag Warren and Bobby back *years* in characterization!' 'And then it will ultimately result in us killing Jean again, anyway, but everyone else's characters to remain in wreckage...' 'Woo! Thank goodness we got amazing characters like Nanny and the Orphan-Maker out of that!'

Zarda got busy with Ultimate Hulk while her man Hyperion was in his home dimension.

Lindy Lee had an implied affair or was leaning towards one with her exercise instructor.

Oh yeah, this one is rough, and doesn't count as actual infidelity but Sue Storm was with Doom for 8 years due to a mind wipe and obviously some mind manipulation.

Louise Simonson created years of solid stories (IMO) from Byrne, Stern, and Layton's characterization trainwreck. She took her time getting the O5 back to acting like themselves instead of just sweeping it all under the rug. Reconstruction instead of deconstruction--what a concept! I just wish Walt had stayed on as artist through the end of her run.

That said, though, I've long thought there was a What If story to be told in which Madelyne Pryor turned to be Jean, and the whole thing went much more smoothly.

Meggan and Colossus had a mutual crush, but they never acted on it. Just a couple of awkward conversations with Brian right before his & Meggan's wedding in the last issue of Excalibur. It was during Ben Raab's run as writer which was basically one long denouement to Warren Ellis's run.
