I have to remind myself that Patsy and Greer have a past together so this is just the latest in their hijinks. Wemberly's not my first choice for a Shulkie artist, but I'm still in.

Good grief, Jen looks like a man in those panels. If Marvel wants this title to succeed they better find an artist that know how to draw She Hulk.

With artists like that, it would be a pity to drop this book that I liked a lot.

Presumably they had to find a fill-in artist who could make Jen look even less attractive than Pulido does, just so people wouldn't get too accustomed to Jen looking... ya know.. nice.

Meanwhile Soule's dialogue continues to be the definition of perfunctory.

Well Greer was THE ORIGINAL CAT and owner of Hellcat's suit. Nice nod to Damien Hellstrom too.

From, the dialogue, it's Tigra. At least that's how Jennifer is addressing her. You'd never guess from the way the artist is drawing her.

I was going to pick up the trade for She-Hulk because I was excited about Soule, but oh my goodness that art is the most painful thing my eyeballs have seen in a long time. It looks like it's been done by a toddler. I'm not even sure if I want to get the book now. I'm really conflicted. With the art getting worse with each issue (the first artist was bad, but this is like really bad), I'm really not sure if I should pick it up now. Anybody want to help me solve my conflict? :P

Jimmy Palmiotto should be writing the book and Juan Santacruz the art.

IMO, I think Soule deserves a better artist than this. When the sales figures come out from issue #5, which also with this artist it will be interesting to see if there is a drop in the number of issues sold. She-Hulk was selling around the 25,000 range and you certainly don't want to go too much lower than that. Marvel never will tell you their absolute minimum on titles though.

Oh wow, the art looks worse in this issue than the prior one. Seriously considering dropping the title until artist change happens. I like Soule but I got my limits.

    When did Jennifer turn blue-green?

I try to be respectful of any artists work, but something like that getting past editorial is just....wow. It doesn't look pleasing at all.

I'm really not a fan of giving artists complete control over everything from pencils, inks and colors. 2/3rd of the time the finished work just doesn't look as good as the collaborative effort of professionals who knows the right and wrong things to do.

I think that there is a fine line between granting artistic freedom and then working on a "product" or intellectual property like an ongoing comic book or comic strip and keeping things "on model". I think this shift between artists can be very jarring and turns fans off when you look at a character and can't make out who it's supposed to be.

Pulido will be back next issue, and it's really not that bad. The hyperbole in this thread is comical at best. It's continuing with that indie vibe that Marvel's trying to take with it's current solo lower selling books. Is it my ideal choice? No, but the writing is top notch and I can handle a couple of issues that aren't my cup of tea, art wise, to enjoy and support a book I want to continue to be published.
