Logan and Mariko is the only acceptable Wolverine relationship... though she made Logan into my favourite iteration of the character but I'm not sure what he positively did for her.

I think Shatterstar and Rictor are the only example of an X-couple where they both improved(drastically) as a result of the coupling. I feel like Scott and Jean brought out some of the worst in each other over time, same goes for Scott/Emma, Betsy/Warren, Alex/Lorna, and Rogue/Remy. Storm went through some awesome character development as a result of her dealings with Forge, but only as a matter of dysfunction. They never really spent that much time together as a couple proper, and that botched marriage proposal really just sank that ship.
Let the flames destroy all but that which is pure and true!
only logical answer is Emma and Scott... but we will get Scott and Jean in X-men blue with the way bunn is writing as of RN.
Tough to say because most get/got ruined by time. I liked Scott/Jean pre-Morrison, Storm/Forge in the beginning, and Rictor/Shatterstar. Best answer is probably Logan and beer.
I wonder what the best platonic relationships would be. That could be an interesting thread

Actually I think Ororo and Forge spent a long time together. Remember the Adversary stuck them in some pocket dimension. I don't think its ever explicitly stated on panel how long they were there but Storm's hair had grown nearly down to the ground by the time they left. That may be my favorite Storm hair actually.
Rictor and Shatterstar are enjoyable together. Emma and Scott can be tolerable, as long as Emma isn't written as an accessory (Fraction...).
Everyone else has more bad moments than good.
Wow. Lot's of silent Scemma fans here. I didn't expect that. I do understand how they could be good for each other but there's a lot of negative influences as well. Emma was always obsessing over being second best and wondering (rightfully I think) a lot of the time if Scott even loved her. Scott had to deal with Emma's methods which tended to be unpopular and I think slowly grew on Scott over time.
