My first ever exposure to a superhero on comic book pages bar Superman and Batman. Jay was an instant hit for me. (I miss that Superhero Origin Story (all Golden Age) library book. I got reminded of this in the Wally West thread. I really liked Jay's appearances as a guest star in The Flash in the silver age. It was usually to fight a big villain.
