Jason Todd will not be in it.

DC put no limitations on Murphy's artistic freedom, which surprised him. He hopes some things from this story will stick and enter into the main continuity.

Bud and Lou briefly appear.

The major inspiration for Joker and Harley's relationship is Bonnie & Clyde.

Only Gotham citizens will appear.

Some characters will die.

Murphy describes his Batman as "out of control". Not as a villain.

Joker and Harley as a type of Bonnie and Clyde is nothing new, though it does imply this will be another depiction of their relationship that will be a tad more...romanticized.

I'm curious about that Batman being "out of control" comment and how that works in the context of the story. Preview images seem to imply Batman and Joker start the story off in their typical roles but then Batman starts going off the rails and necessitating Joker being the one to stop him.

I'm excited about this.

The idea that the Joker might... I mean, if this isn't some huge "bait-and-switch," where the Joker turns out to be an actual monster at the end... but the idea that there may be a character that tries to help out Gotham through useful and productive means (rather than punch-punch-punch your way to Justice!), well...

I think it could be really interesting. And I'm definitely "down to clown" with it .

Read the first issue already and it turns out not to be the toxic waste spill that some people would make it out to be.

Anyhow, it`s Murphy`s baby, let him use who he wants. I love his art, not sure about the overal Joker centric story and at this point I`m more sold on Marini`s take.

I'll read both and about Jason he wasn't part of The animated series so he isn't important for this story, why could somebody think Jason had to be here? o.O
