At this point, the heroes should just take it in stride.
It's like an annual event now. You can't call something a crisis if it happens all the time.
May as well call it **** That Happens Regularly on Infinite Earths.

At one point, if you said "the Crisis," people knew what you meant. Now it's, "Oh, which crisis? Infinite? Identity? Final? Finite Finale?"
And thank god I didn't' REALLY exaggerate and say bajillion.
Around the time of FINAL CRISIS, DC made a decision to no longer title their annual crossover events CRISIS. Indeed, FINAL CRISIS was the last one to officially bear that title.

Bear in mind too that CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS was the culmination of all the CRISIS events that began during the First DC Multiverse era (which started with CRISIS ON EARTH-ONE/CRISIS ON EARTH-TWO in 1963). Even in 1985, a DC summer crossover event bearing the title CRISIS was nothing new, but had been an annual tradition for over twenty years. After COIE, in fact, DC laid off the title until ZERO HOUR: CRISIS IN TIME a decade later, and the title CRISIS remained in scant use after that point until IDENTITY CRISIS, INFINITE CRISIS, and FINAL CRISIS appeared in a five-year span during the 2000s.

It's mostly branding anyway. They're not all capital C crises.
What I wouldn't give for an Extreme Exigency once in a while.
