So this is essentially being written by DC, or more specifically the Batman: Eternal team minus Scott Snyder? Tim Seeley, Ray Fawkes, James Tynion, and Kyle Higgins, plus Marguerite Bennett (who wrote Batman Annual #2), and of course Charles Soule who writes everything. I mean I get that Mike Marts went from editing Batman to X-Men but this is surprising. It's not necessarily bad, Higgins, Seeley, and Fawkes have all done good work at DC so I could give some of these a shot.

I'll be picking this up when I can, mainly for some of the creative teams, the fact that I'm interested in the Death of Wolverine, but also that both X-23 and Daken will be involved. Not sure about Daken staying in his a Horseman look but I'll be cool with it.

Although, I wonder why the villains are involved? Why would Sabertooth get an issue to himself if he plans to kill Logan?

Edit: I'm not saying he should be in this but you think Raze would be involved in some weird way?

Interesting writer choices for this. I like the cover for issue 2.

So after this mini series do we get another one counting down to Logan's return?

What is with all the weekly releases? At least in the first month.

I wonder why none of the heroes care that Wolverine's dying.

I mean for FFS, they could at least address Cyclops, Kitty and Jubilee, Nightcrawler, even Storm.

It's a way to get retailers to commit to higher order numbers for a given issue.

With no way of determining how sales fare on the first issue a month or two ahead of time, they can't really adjust orders for subsequent issues as they normally would.

Counter move to DC's weekly release no doubt.

And also what Ceebiro said regarding retailer commitment.

I mean, I expected Marvel to milk this Death of Wolverine thing, but this project feels a bit much. I mean, 7 issues?

Well, it sounds like 7 one-shots almost. So you can pick which ones you're interested in. This will probably be a skip for me though.

    That's true.

Also, it is very interesting to see Marts talent choices for this. Could be a sign of the players he'll bring on for future X-Men books.

    for sure.

I think we can rule out Sabretooth dying in Wolverin 12 now, though. A lot of people were thinking that was going to happen.
