    Default "Banner Hulk"?

Noticed this in some of the ads for Generations, they now refer to the older Hulk as "Banner Hulk" while Cho's Hulk gets the "Totally Awesome" moniker. Why not "Incredible"?

"Banner Hulk" kind of reminds me of the fan coinage for the Hulk incarnation which had Bruce's persona in charge, from Hulk #270ish to around #300" (Where the Hulk's persona, after a series of upsetting incidents-including "Secret Wars"-and the provocation of Nightmare, went in the exact opposite direction, becoming a totally destructive and mute version)

For whatever reason Marvel seems pretty committed to burying Hulk under derivatives right now.

So they give him a stupid name much like Odinson was to Thor.

Because in Legacy, Cho is the Incredible Hulk.

    Cho's the "Totally Awesome" Hulk.

I don't think they've ever tried to associate him with the "Incredible" adjective.

They will be in Legacy. His book is getting renamed and renumbered for Return to Planet Hulk. They're even using the famous brick logo from the 90s.

So putting everything but the actual Hulk, huh?

Yeah, unfortunately the solicit confirms that the Incredible Hulk series will still star Amadeus Cho and not Bruce Banner. Personally I think the TAH name should've stayed as long as Cho keeps the mantle, but they obviously wanted the relaunch sales boost.

I think that's probably in the cards at this point.

I wonder if we'll see a return around the time of Thor: Ragnarok. Plus Infinity War's around the corner too with Hulk, so there's plenty of oppurtunity for "synergy" with the comics and films.

I think we're definitely getting a "Return to Planet Hulk" because of Ragnarok, and that will probably impact Hulk and Thor to some degree.
