Still haven't read vol 1, is it good?
Paula von Gunther looks Madonna-ish.
Nathan Fairbairn posted some colored art:
Hippolyta leading the charge vs Nazis! Diana playing baseball! Sold!
But, um, Empire Strikes Back wasn't very kind to the Rebels. How worried should I be? Don't you dare kill WW's mom!
Yeah, it's pretty good. The art is tremendous and worth it just for that. But, the story, well ... it's not up there with All-Star Superman. Not yet anyway. Still, I'm glad I bought it. Love that he included Amazon tech, and I love the design for Hippolyta. I could read a whole series of just her (though I could do without more daddy drama).
Currently(or soon to be) Reading: Alan Scott: Green Lantern, Batman/Superman: World's Finest, Fire & Ice: Welcome to Smallville, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Jay Garrick: The Flash, Justice Society of America, Power Girl, Superman, Shazam, Titans, Wesley Dodds: Sandman, Wonder Woman, & World's Finest: Teen Titans.
Some of the problems I h ad with the first one was the amazons being man haters and scenes that were creepy. Body shaming of women . Hippoltya making Diana has a weapon
Hippolyta and the Amazons vs. Paula von Gunther?! Diana playing baseball with the Holliday Girls (straight out of WW#2)?!
Shut up and take my money!
Now one would assume this is taking place in the 1940s, but this Diana has been around for 30 centuries by the time we meet her and hasn't seen a man before Steve (and that's a lot of men right there), and Hippolyta acts as if the island has never encountered outsiders before volume 1. So I wonder what's going on here.

I'd recommend it. It's definitely a homage (and somewhat of a very affectionate parody in some spots) to the Marston era. It has some elements that make it controversial, but not as much as the New 52 run, and it's still definitely not the Perez era and beyond Wonder Woman. Which, IMO, is why I love it so much.
