Aw, you beat me to it! Now this, as opposed to Murphy's White Knight, sounds like something very interesting. Sort of like Dixon's Pirate Batman concept, but for fairy tales, with this urban painted art style.

How about more Earth One and less done in one Elseworlds?
Hmmm... his art style doesn't particularly interest me and let's look at the synopsis for a second:
"BATMAN: THE DARK PRINCE CHARMING is a two-volume graphic novel series that finds Batman once again facing off against the Joker. Only this time, the stakes are personal…"
this plot synopsis doesn't give me enough information about the plot to keep me interested, it's all very vague, not revealing a lot about the plot in a synopsis of a project might interest me with a book written by Grant Morrison or Neil Gaiman or some big author where I would buy their book no matter what, but with an artist I don't know about, it's really hard to care if they're isn't really something in the synopsis that grabs, me.
Also are they saying that Batman's encounters with the Joker have never been personal? Because the Joker is so saturated, writers tend to use him sparingly, so you don't ever see a story-arc where Joker simply robs a bank or something generic like that, in fact the majority of the time, Batman's scuffles with The Joker are personal.
