    Default Sales figures for June

    Here is the story:
    http://www.cbr.com/june-2017-comics-sales-analysis/

And here are the sales figures from Comicchron:
    http://www.comichron.com/monthlycomi...7/2017-06.html

Peter Parker #1 outsold any issue of the event book Secret Empire.

Secret Empire #4 and #5 each sold under 100,000 copies, less than a regular issue of Batman. Secret Empire is bombing, and it deserves to.

Any book that places two issues in the Top Ten isn't bombing. Landing outside the Top 50 is bombing. Also, so far it's arguably the best event either of the big two have done. Certainly in the top five.

Secret Empire is not bombing, but this is surprisingly low for a comic book event.

Now Luke Cage and Nick Fury on the other hand are bombing, along with America and Monsters Unleashed.

It's almost like people were hyped about Spider-man for some reason...

Less than most other events save for Axis, but by no means bombing, especially considering comic sales are down for Marvel across the board.

Also, at issue 4/5, selling 91k/87k is a lot better than most recent MU titles at the same position. You could expect higher from an event, but judging it from Marvel's standards of sales today, it's really not what one could call bombing.

And let us not forget that both Civil War II last year and Spider-Man this year had a HUGE movie hype going for them around the same time both came out.

Well, retailers were certainly betting big on Spider-Man. We'll see if that paid off based on the drop off on the next couple of issues. That said, it's really nice to see a Marvel Universe #1 handily beating a Star Wars #1 for a change.

Yikes on those Forge numbers. Events certainly don't seem to be the mega money makers (300K+ copies per issue) that they used to be.

Yeah, I'm actually surprised by The Forge numbers.

Doesn't mean that Metal won't do fine but it's certainly not a great sign when the kick off to your big event is beat by the first issue of a satellite title.

Among your books listed at below cancellation level are several one-shot reprints. These are not ongoing series.

Also several of these series - like Bullseye, Man-Thing and Zombies Assemble - were announced as minis.

Also, you listed Zombies Assemble twice.

Absolutely. Some really great titles. Just because a book isn't a big seller doesn't mean that it isn't worth doing for as long as it can last.

If Marvel didn't bother with any book that wasn't a blockbuster, the lack of variety and attention to second and third-tier characters would be a huge loss.

But hey remember, there's no F4 book because it doesn't sell over 40k LOL.

I'm also glad with Secret Empire's numbers. Maybe Marvel will finally get that we're tired of events after events.

I recall when they canceled Mutant X because they were publishing to many X titles. At least that was the reason giving through a Wizard interview.

Because he's a good writer but no one wants to read about other obscure characters.

Also, Avengers got a huge rebound in sales yeesh.
