BATMAN LOST #1 by Snyder is the most interesting to me, because Snyder writes it.

So I see now 9 must-haves for this Metal arc: Forge, Casting, 6 Metal issues, Lost issue.

Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

Green Arrow 32 - annoyed that Steph and Tim aren't part of the Gotham Resistance, the only part of the Metal event that was even a little bit interesting. But it does have some promise.

Batgirl 16 - Hmm. The romance is emphasized less here. Not sure if that's good or bad, since I'm tired of disposable love interests, but on the other hand, I'd much rather friends than will-they-won't-they.

Birds of Prey - Interesting choice to go with the "male plague". Hopefully more Jim! Catwoman and Ivy co-starring are much more interesting than Fauxricle.

Batman 33 - Dream of Me sounds very, very interesting - Batman interacting with the Batfamily, with Joelle Jones art!

Batwoman 8 - I'm a bit confused - the way this solicit is worded makes it sound like Colony Prime showing up is a surprise - but he was a huge part of the first issue solicit?

Tec, of course, looks like tons of fun, though I hope we get to see the team and not ONLY Tim. (Timfans will murder me for this, I'm sure.)

The Vote Harley storyline actually sounds kinda fun.

Nightwing: Um. Raptor is back. Again. Shock. Not.

Red Hood - oooh, I didn't know that the Tec team was showing up with Batwoman. That's really cool! And they're on the cover, too!

Bane! Oooh, interesting. I bet we're going to have daddy drama with Kobra.

Nightwing: New Order - Red Robin! That's the biggest thing I'm excited about.

    Thoughts:

    - Is that the Queen of Fables on that Batgirl cover?

    - It's going to be interesting to see how Catwoman and Ivy being part of the Birds of Prey effects the team dynamic and the book as a whole (and where's Harley?). I like how the cover features men who are important to all the ladies on the cover (except Ivy, who seems pretty happy), though Catwoman looks more bemused then shocked .

    - It's still kind of vague what Selina's answer to the proposal is, though I guess you could read Batman going on a "journey of redemption and renewal" as being ambiguous enough response to whatever she would say (and probably a sensible reaction to trudging up what he did in the War of Jokes and Riddles). I'm curious to see how the rest of the Batfamily's appearances is handled and why exactly they're not responding well to what Bruce is doing.

    - I guess it was only a matter of time before the two sides of Nightwing (the globe-trotting and Bludhaven) came together. It'll be nice to see Raptor back .

    - The 'Tec team fighting the Dark Trinity is not what I was expecting their interaction with the wider Batfamily to amount too...

    - Oh hey, Tim and Batwoman in the Nightwing mini! Cool .
