Barry, thanks to Scribblenauts Unmasked. My brother apparently had a school folder with him on it round the late '00s, but I never noticed it. Scribblenauts and Injustice introduced me to practically almost everyone. Then it was the TV show.
Jay Garrick (Golden Age Flash) - 1st appeared in Flash Comics #1 (1940).
Barry Allen (Silver Age Flash) - 1st appeared Showcase #4 (1956) / died in CoIE
Wally West (post-CoIE Flash) - became The Flash at the end of Crisis on Infinite Earths
Bart Allen (post-Infinte Crisis Flash) - Became The Flash after Wally vanished / Bart suddenly aged
TV/the CW version of The Flash (Barry) - from The Flash: Season Zero (based on TV continuity)

I didn't "assume". I asked you to clarify this:The way that was stated made it sound like you saw Barry in comic books first, so that's why I asked if you actually read those comic books or was it more of seeing pictures with Barry but not being able to fully read/understand those earlier books.I voted Wally because I am 40 years old. I know for a fact I was checking out Flash comics with Barry in them when I was young but I fell in love with Wally right away.
And since you said you "fell in love with Wally right away", that sounds like it could easily be that he's your favorite.

Wally West, thanks to one of his team-ups with Kyle Rayner in the 90's. I was aware of Barry before that though, having watched his live-action show as a child, and having his Super Powers toy.
I think it was Jay, I was reading Young Justice and JSA before I read Wally as Flash. Barry was still gone when I was reading and I did not read Bart’s odd period as Flash.
"It's fun and it's cool, so that's all that matters. It's what comics are for, Duh."
Words to live by.
I started reading comics in the early 2010s. I'm fairly certain one of the first stories I read was Flashpoint so I think it was Barry.
Wally West when he was in JLI for a couple of issues. JLI was also my first Black Canary, Guy Gardner, Captain Atom, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold comic.
"Cable was right!"
I may have noticed a few Barry Allen appearances but the first Flash I remember reading in earnest was Wally West.
