Somebody Thanos-snapped the DCU. Everybody integrally attached to its biggest names (e.g. Supergirl, Red Hood, Wonder Girl, Mary Marvel, Guy Gardner, [any] Kid Flash) are gone.
Who is at the forefront of those left to protect it?

I'm currently reading the original run of John Jones, Manhunter from Mars, and he has so many super-powers. More than anyone else. If it wasn't for fire and passing comets, he would be the most powerful being on Earth.
Booster would walk ass backwards into a solution for the crisis and accidentally save the day. Of course he would say it was his plan the whole time.
Throw all the answers from this thread together and you've actually got a pretty awesome JLA line up.
Martian Manhunter
Aquaman
Firestorm
Captain Atom
Dr. Fate
Zatanna
Booster Gold
I'd read it.
LOL I was thinking thats what we would up with.
Its interesting its a a little JSA and a little JLI.
I think there's a good redundancy and overlap on the team too.
2 characters tied to "ancient" kingdoms Mars and Atlantis respectively
2 Flying Bricks
2 Mages
2 Atomic class heroes
1 Future guy
Hmm...I'd add ...
Mr. Terrific.
My priority is enjoying and supporting stories of timeless heroism and conflict.
Everything else is irrelevant.
I think the Characters connected to Green Arrow, Hawkman, Atom, Blue Beetle and Starman would also still be on the table.
Harley Quinn.

There's also the Spectre. I think of the Martian Manhunter as the revival version of the Spectre--John Jones is to Jim Corrigan as Hal Jordan is to Alan Scott.
While Spec was established on Earth-Two, he seemed to exist on every Earth (his series in "Weird" ADVENTURE COMICS was neither set on Earth-One nor Earth-Two). He can go where no man or superman has gone before.
