Seems like Hawkman has been nonexistent since the New 52 began (yeah...I know he had a few arcs). Would really like to see him get a big push.

You know, I'm honestly surprised DC is paying attention to such an honestly unsuccessful (Even though I quite like him) character as Hawkman by not only resurrecting him, but giving him a well publicized part in their biggest summer event.

well since he is part of this major storyline I would hope so . it does make sense.

I've been wishing for a CARTER HALL hawkman(archeologists, office at midway museum, classic villians) for it seems forever! i'll buy it in a new York nano-sec.

I'm kinda happy that this new Hawkman one shot has a real chance of leading to a new Hawkman comic, and Kevin Nowlan being on the case is a dream come true.

Although, I don't like Carter and I'm pretty sure this whole thing is about bringing him back.

Yes, sort of.

But it wasn't a definitive death, and he's come back before.

At the end of the of the series, it even stated that it wasn't the end for Katar Hol.

Hawkman is one of those characters I would love to like as he seems cool in concept, but his treatment and stories always turned me away from him. Personally i prefer Hawkwoman from JLTAS.

I'll take anything new with Hawkman at this point, just give the man a book (and with Hawkgirl) .

I hope so. I'm caustiously optimistic. The Lemire who gave us Green Arrow would probably write a great Hawkman run. If it's his twin brother who wrote Extraordinary X-men, the character is doomed LOL.

EDIT: Forgot to mention how much I'd love to see Hawkwoman get equal billing for a change. It's way past time DC actually treated them as equals, but I think she'll be like Black Canary in GA and be just the sidekick girlfriend as usual

I think so this time, with him being involved in dark days I would hope so, from what I've read so far, Lemire hinted at solo coming abit later on..
