Yeah, I'm still not completely sold he's tangibly showing up in the book in the present day. His presence could just be felt in other ways, like KungLao says in a flashback or something.

"They can be a great people Kal-El, they wish to be. They only lack the light to show the way. For this reason above all, their capacity for good, I have sent them you. My only son." - Jor-El
Maybe we will finally see some regrets from Manhattan towards what he had to do with Rorsach and will be asking himself if he had other choice. You know, watching over Superman might trigger him some thinking regarding himself and his actions in The Watchmen.
I could easily see that, yeah.
Though admittedly it would be funny to see an actual present Rorschach try and wrap his head around Superman. Powers of a god, heart and soul of an angel...he'd have more troubles understanding Superman than even DC's most jaded characters do.

Now that I think more about it, it will be very interesting to see Manhattan analyzing Superman and himself in a way that Superman uses his powers for good and always does the right thing, while he himself having even greater powers haven't done a thing in The Watchmen to help humanity in a right way, instead he allowed himself become government's property.
The more I hear about this, the worse it sounds.
It'll be critically acclaimed when it comes out, but a few years down the line, I have a feeling it's doing to be derided as Geoff Johns ultimate vanity project.
It's a shame New 52 Question got turned into this weird mystical character as part of 'The Trinity of Sin' with Pandora and Phantom Stranger. It would have been cool to see Vic Sage interact with Rorschach. At least Lex and Ozymandias' meeting should be cool.
So this is how Rorshach fits into Doomsday Clock

As I finished reading Watchmen, I remember thinking to myself what an amazing plot development it would be for Rorschach's journal to make its way to none other than Batman.
Finally, DC is giving us the conclusion to Watchmen that we deserve.
I'm loving these covers.
When it comes to comics, one person's "fan-service" is another persons personal cannon. So by definition it's ALL fan service. Aren't we ALL fans?
SUPERMAN is the greatest fictional character ever created.
