Yes, we have that. Or rather had. In the past it was common to cut panels, change word ballons, leave issues out or just switch the numbers. Amazing Fantasy 15 was Spider-Man 1, Spider-Man 1 was issue 2 and issue 5 switched with issue 6 and so on.

Or just rename existing characters: Namor was named Aquarius, The Looter is Meteor, Two-Face is more like Double Face etc.
