I haven't got the new Casino Royale, the whole fiasco of having two orders cancelled and the pushbacks has put me off. I still want to get it, but I'm not dying to pick it up - what is your view on it? Worth it?

Also, seriously consider checking out the Titan comic strips. You can actually get the whole lot in the paperback omnibus format from FP just now, they are all down to £2.99 from about £15 or something

Currently reading: The Punisher by Garth Ennis omnibus - been enjoying this quite a bit, more humorous than I would’ve expected from the punisher but it makes a brilliant follow up to Preacher. So far I’ve enjoyed the first 12 issue arc the most.

On deck: Batman & Robin by Tomasi & Gleason omnibus - I am excited to dig in to another meaty Batman run that I’ve heard nothing but great things about!

I struggle to read silver age stuff one after another though so I'll break it up with other books in between.
I didn't buy the Macfarlane omni and now it's like pretty much full cover price, but I don't know if I'll get it. I had all those issues back when they came out, even had the super-duper limited #1 signed by Macfarlane that I won from my local shop, even met him. But I remember those issues being tough to read, pretty much in it for the art. Don't know if I want to invest in it again.

But I'm loving the original books! I'm strictly a Bronze Age fan and wouldn't buy much if any other silver age, but ASM 1 was fantastic, so much better than I expected. Some of the art is truly stunning, I'll sit and look at some panels forever admiring the art. Can't wait to read the next 2, and these are all new to me. Grew up reading the newspaper daily strips religiously but not many comics lol.

I’ve only just started it and I’m really digging it, art is really nice, may even be preferring it to the other Bond stuff Dynamite are putting out, it does say book one on the spine, now I have never read any bond novels but is the plan to release them all as comics?

Hmmmm, I wasn't aware of it, but perhaps it is? That would certainly be interesting if it is...

I've not read the McFarlane Spidey stuff before so it's all new to me. I had heard that the writing isn't great, but like you say, it's more about the art. That omni was pretty much the most recent book I bought, and I got it pretty much the week before the prices went up. I got lucky!

are you just getting into comics with the Essentials and showcase line? I would say that's kinda unusual lately but I hope you are enjoying it so far. Are you aware of the Epic line btw?

Epic collection Star Wars rise of the sith vol1, the rebellion vol 2, the new Republic vol 1, legacy vol 1. Legacy being my favorite. Want to get some clone wars era epic collections, and finish off legacy. Legends is the best. The new Marvel stuff is lacking something. Not saying it's bad, just missing something. Maybe it feels too much like a reboot. D ont know.

Just got Runaways by Rainbow Rowell & Kris Anka Vol. 1, and I'm loving it! Annihilation: The Complete Collection, Vol. 2 and Agents of Atlas: The Complete Collection, Vol. 1 are both coming in the mail soon, too. Can't wait - starting the summer off right!

Can I get some advice on what to read next?

I can only read 2 trades at a time because I’m stupid. So, I read one marvel and one dc at a time. I’m about to finish Werewolf By Night vol. 1, and I’ve decided to jump to Captain Britain.

For DC, I’m about to finish New Teen Titans vol 2 on trade. I need a little break from New Teen Titans. My question is, I’ve recently purchased a few new dc trades....Robin:Reborn vol 1, Supergirl Book One By Peter David, and Superboy Book One: Trouble in Paradise. Can anyone please tell me which one I should read? I guess the better of the 3?
Favorite Characters: Wolfsbane, Storm, Psylcoke, Beast, Feral, Tempo, Nightcrawler, Quicksilver

Favorite Titles: X-Men Red, Legion of X, Marauders, Hellions

I am currently reading essential hulk vol 5. First appearance of wolverine. I am also reading showcase presents justice league vol 3. I know they are black and white reprints but I really love them. No way I could afford the color single issues that they are reprinting.

    Robin Reborn gets my vote.

Punisher Max Omnibus. Didn't realize I needed that amount of violence in my downtime.
