We know Steve isn't going to come back unless Diana was lying to Bruce. But if Chris Pines could ever be brought back, how would you like it to be done?

IF Chris Pine had to return as Steve Trevor, then I'd either like him to be an illusion created by Dr Psycho (or another psychic villain) to emotionally torture Diana.

Or maybe Diana has to venture to Tartarus to obtain some artefact because Felix Faust has turned all of the Amazons into stone or snakes or whatever and while in Tartarus, Diana temporarily teams up with the spirits of Steve and Antiope to retrieve whatever McGuffin she needs to find. Diana leaves Tartarus after saying a heartfelt goodbye to two of the major influences in her life.

I don't know what they're on about. The first movie included Steve and the entire plot was still driven by Diana. There's no reason to assume bringing him back would change that.

I think she'll be in later movies (JL2?) We have Lex and Deathstroke for the team, so Cheetah would be a natural addition.
