    Default What does Bruce think?

So,at this point every Robin(except Tim) has been killed. How can Bruce be o.k. with this fact? What does he think of this ad opposed to going forward. Obviously failure is not it. Do you think he has done any additional training for these sidekicks?

    Thoughts, opinions..........

Um. As far as Bruce knows, Tim has died. And he's died just as much as Dick has.

Gets worse than that. At this point, with the exception of Babs, every Robin and Batgirl has either died, thought to have been dead, or died multiple times.

Lets face it there ought to be a law preventing Batman from coming anywhere near Orphans and kids seeking risky employment.

That is the only additional training he needs.

Bruce is a bit of a **** really.

He believes he's helping them and to be fair they always come back or in Damian's case he finds a way to bring them back. So maybe that's why he ok with it and is still doing it.

He also doesn't let them into the field till he is as confident as one can be that they are ready.

he's hoping people wont mind him endangering children on his endless pursuit for justice because they're likable characters with sizable fanbases

and by "he" I mean DC Comics in general

He very briefly had his heart stopped and was then resuscitated during Forever Evil, IIRC, just before he joined Spyral.

Trying to tie the continued existence of Robins to a solid form of agreeable logic, even in-universe, is a futile effort. No matter how you swing it, the idea of Robin is uncomfortably close to child soldiers, especially considering how much darker and more dangerous comics are these days compared to 75 years ago. The Robins exist because they are iconic and financially valuable to DC. and that's all there is to it.

Robin was originally created not as a narrative choice, but more as a draw to get young boys to read Batman comics.

Bruce is in a dammed if you do dammed if you don't situation with batfamily fans. If a Robin or Batgirl is hurt or killed it's all his fault and he should be held responsible, but if he tries to stop them from putting themselves in harms way then he is a jerk or control freak. He can't win either way.

Dick didn't die and Steph supposedly dying didn't seem to happen in this continuity

It's clinical death. His heart and breathing both stopped.

Has Dick Grayson died in main continuity? I was aware the other had.
