There are different artists who fit different types of Batman story. For the colourful villains and the like, artists like Dick Sprang, Alan Davis and Graham Nolan are a really good fit.

In no order Mazz, Aparo, Pope, Breyfogle, JHW, Andy Kubert, Mahnke, and Dustin Nguyen are the master class, imo.

But if I ever got another man's face tattooed on me, it would be Jim Lee.

Oh, and since people mentioned Burnham, I think Ramon Villalobos would be sweet.

I really love how Frank Miller and Klaus Janson drew the older Batman in Dark Knight Returns

I am not sure who the artist was in the early run of Grant Morrison's JLA, but I LOVE this Batman from his run!

    Miller has an amazing Batman.

The second one is probably my favorite cover to anything.

I have fond memories growing up with Dick Giordano's and Neil Adams' art.

Love Nolan, when inked by Scott Hanna, gorgeous. their 'Tec run was great. I wish they could have gotten Hanna for Bane Conquest.

It's a good cover, but it always slightly irritates me that Batman's Cape is split in two. It makes him look like Bananaman.

Neal Adams & Marshall Rogers pretty much defined the character for me. I'll always think of Batman as a lean, athletic guy rather a hulking, heavily armored guy.

Other favorites: Aparo, Breyfogle, Irv Novick & Don Newton. Newton is really underrated to me. Amazing artist.
