    Holy thread necro!

But I realize that I did not include David Mazzuchelli in my original list, which shame on me, and since then, I've also added Lee Weeks and Jorge Fornes to the list!

Definitely not on Kubert. Lee - he's very good, but not really enough to make it to my top tier.

I kinda like Andy Kubert's design. It's not too much scaly nor sketchy therefore it looks good IMO. As for Lee, he is one of my favorite detailed artists. I thought Batman Hush might be one of your favorites.

Kubert is very accomplished. I just really don't enjoy the way he draws faces, particularly noses. I appreciate all he's done for Batman (and Superman - his Superman: Up in the Air with Tom King is magnificent), but it just has too many drawbacks for me personally to embrace.

Hush's weak plotting tends to leave me frustrated, though the art is pretty gorgeous. But the fact that the only reason I own Hush is because it came along with the Walmart Giants should probably tell you something.

Well, I was referring Hush because you seem to be a big fan of Batman and Catwoman. As for the plot itself, unlike general consensus, I think it has a week plot but it's really aesthetic. I for one as a young kid loved it before therefore there is that.

Andy Kubert did some awesome work when he was in X-Men and his Batman is really cool too.

I do like Batman/Catwoman. But the ending of Hush is really frustrating. Ah, well. I didn't read it till I was an adult (as with most comics - I started when I was about 17-18, in college).

The Kuberts in general are cool people, and I appreciate their legacy. I just don't put them on my favorites list.
