Still no mention of the next trade for Cass's book? Bloody bollocks.

Hmm, The Signal is only a miniseries. And only three issues, too. That's a little unusual.

I always like that these hint at how long future arcs will be. Batman looks like it'll have another Annual in November or January at the latest.

Another Nightwing Deluxe Edition. Sweet. This means Nightwing has been one of DC's top seller in trades too. My dream of a bi-monthly Nightwing book until the end of the Rebirth is so close to coming true.

Unfortunately trade waiting is getting harder. 5 months wait for a bi-monthly series trade is too long. That's about 2 or more arcs late. TPBs are the future DC.

3 issues? Where is that stated? The page count is sure as heck greater.

    From the linked page:

    Summary

THE SIGNAL, Batman’s trainee and Gotham’s daytime protector, is back with his own three issue miniseries!

Only one teenage hero is prepared for the challenge of safeguarding Gotham in broad daylight—THE SIGNAL. Duke Thomas juggles a new high school and teenage romance as he adjusts to his role as Gotham’s daytime protector and battles new villains. Could a daytime Gotham be even more corrupt than its nighttime counterpart?

Really getting sick of these trades with only 6-7 issues in them. Why not just do it the 'deluxe' way and put 12.
Still no Azrael Volume 2 release date...

    2) Agree with DP - the page count is the same as a typical 6-8 issue collection. So unless these are all double sized, what's up? Add to that the three months between February, when Metal ends, and the trade release, and...I'm just confused.

    3) That description is incredibly obvious in how much it copies the Tim Drake Robin (and before that, Spider-Man) mold.

My guess is they are including the Duke backups from all star batman in the trade, though it does seem a bit early to already deem the book as a 3 issue mini series, so who knows.

Generally, I think trades should all have at least 7 issues. I think 7 is the optimum for price and satisfaction. I am happy they are now releasing double size hardcovers though as that is nicer if the trades are small or you have a couple of issues already.

I remember the days of 4-issue trades. So 5-6 seems pretty perfect to me. 7 issue arcs tend to be overlong for my tastes, but if it's a 5-6 issue arc plus one or two one-shots, I'm cool.
