I was going to go for Emma. but she is not on your list.why? Emma is so cool.
Rogue appears to be leading in Astonishing X-Men. That counts as both "after Kitty" and "next".
Of those listed, I'd like to see Rogue or Psylocke in a leadership position.
Storm I think had great potential, but her short stint as leader of the X-Men was chaotic. If she were to reassume this position, it'd be important to solidify her as a strong tactical women capable of leading mutantkind.
In addition, I'd say that Dani Moonstar and Cannonball both would be great leaders, though I doubt either will ever be given the opportunity to hold such a pivotal role.
Rogue especially after seeing how she performs in Uncanny Avengers

The right answer isn't up there. Professor Charles Xavier.
Kurt. It would be great to finally have a non-human looking mutant leading the X-Men.
Bobby freakin Drake. He's been the number 2 to somebody since the Schism. He's an og... by the time they need a new leader, he'll have self-discovered himself fully. Time to take that final step.
Xaiver as well. he has become almost like the professor snape head teacher in x-men for the last 25 years. he is so devious and has many juicy secrets. but emma for me.
rogue has led so many times. AOA Astonishing, X-Men Revolution, X-Men Legacy. I rather see someone else take the mantle.
Iceman.
Jean Grey.
Psylocke.

I'd like to see Emma too. She's always been co-leader (with Sean and then Scott). It would be nice for her to move into it solo.
Yeah, I can get behind Rogue also, but.
Can we just have adult Jean back, and can we let her be in charge like she was in Morrison's New X-Men?

Doop. Nobody does it better.
