Finn the gunner

It seems they're trying to build this as sort of a trait for the character. You've got Rey with the saber (Finn of course was portrayed on a lot of the marketing with the saber, but that was kind of misdirection), and Poe the fighter pilot....


First, we've got him in the twin-seat TIE fighter, in the gunner position.

Second, he's of course in the classic Millenium Falcon gunner station as well.

Third, the Last Jedi sizzle reel has a person in a yellow flight uniform (presumably Paige) manning some kind of gunner stations (not the Falcon's). In the same reel, we see Finn wearing the same basic uniform (with what seems to be a haircut as well).

Any thoughts?

The canon tie-ins (like Before the Awakening) did establish that he was an exceptional cadet and that marksmanship was something he was good at, so it would be consistent with what has already been established.
