Default Guardians of the Galaxy Spin-off Movie Being Discussed

James Gunn in an interview with Collider revealed there have been discussing the Ravagers having their own project

He also hinted that plans for the original team of Guardians (introduced in a Vol. 2 post-credits scenes) are still a possibility. “There’s always discussion with Ravagers — it would be The Ravagers,” he explained. “It’s always a possibility. I would be excited.”
From an interview with the Hollywood reporter
    http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hea...-plans-1027046
"I'm definitely interested in the direction that these characters are headed and their roles in the Marvel Universe," says Gunn.

Those Guardians have some wild origins that include time travel (they're from 1,000 years in the future), but Gunn says Marvel isn't planning on going that route.

"That is not something that we're dealing with. These are older characters and more criminal than our Guardians. So we're focusing on that," says Gunn.
The OG Guardians having their own movie sounds awesome to me.

I enjoyed Guardians Vol 2 so i'd be down with seeing the retro guardians in action.

I'd like to see a Rocket and Groot movie.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Yup origins and how they met is what i want. Though i doubt Groots origins would be anything like the comics. Still interested to see what they come up with. Find out who this scientist that made Rocket was.

With the cast they got i wouldnt mind the retro guardians. And if its a prequel we get more Yondu which is a plus.

I hope if we get an OG Guardians/Ravagers movie that they find a way to fit Vance Astro in there (and maybe find some way to include Yondu)...

Of the main Guardians who I think are the most likely to get a spinoff, Rocket and Groot would be pretty high up there.

I'd love this. Not that it would ever happen, but I can imagine Tarantino doing a very cool Reservoir Dogs/Hateful Eight type movie with The Ravagers if he were ever hired.

I just heard the Rumor that since Disney is going to start their own streaming service, they are going to pull their Marvel Show License from Netflix. Is that true?

Nope. Marvel's original Netflix shows are staying.

What about co-writing the movie and producing it?

This could be nice and how about having the Starjammers co star in it?

In the last movie it looked like they were setting up Sly Starhawk and his motley crew for a possible spinoff. But it looked like they would be kinda really similar in tone to the GotG, so I'm not sure what the point would be.
