Default Shows that never added a cast member

Can you think of shows that maintained the same main cast from beginning to end.

At first I thought just Seinfeld and Friends but then I remembered Elaine isn't in the pilot so just Friends.

Even Star Trek TNG subbed Pulaski for Crusher for a season.

Quantum Leap because only main cast is Sam & Al.
Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

Star Trek: Enterprise never changed its main crew. Funny thing is, had it received a 5th season, then it wouldn't qualify for this thread, because Shon (Jeffrey Combs) would have been added to the main cast.

I gave up on season 2.

Hmmm... let's see, only counting shows that ran more than one season, and not counting supporting cast...

    The Addams Family
    All in the Family
    Arrested Development
    The Big Valley
    The Dick Van Dyke Show
    The Flintstones
    Gilligan's Island
I Love Lucy (not counting Little Ricky)
    Leverage
The Odd Couple (I think Randall and Klugman were the only credited main cast)
    WKRP in Cincinnati
Xena: Warrior Princess (again, Lawless and O'Connor were the only main cast)

I would say The Simpsons, but Hank Azaria wasn't credited as main cast until season 2.

Leverage lost Bellman for half a season and added Jeri Ryan. I never watch Arrested development or all in the family or big valley. How long did wkrp last? Xena is a good one.

Was Jeri Ryan ever credited as a regular cast member?

WKRP ran for 3 seasons with no cast changes.

Oh, and I would add The Munsters, The Partridge Family, and the Brady Bunch. (I don't count Cousin Oliver.)

I may have cheated a bit with Xena. I don't think Renee O'Connor was officially credited as a main cast member until some time into the first or second season, though she was in every single episode but one.

Flintstones added Pebbles and Bam Bam.

My wife agrees with you on Dick Van Dyke (Although she says the pilot was different) and I love Lucy.

    My own nomination.
The Librarians, unless we want to disqualify it for the Noah Wyle's character.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

I don't think they would be considered main cast members, though. On live action shows infant characters aren't main cast, though in the case of The Flintstones it's hard to define what counts as "main cast."

He was in it from the beginning, though. I think he's only credited as a guest star on the episodes he's in.

    Not a main cast member.

Friends? I don't think anyone but the core 6 were ever credited as main cast members.

    Hogan's Heroes.

    Hogan's Heroes.
Final season Hogan's Heroes last one character and replaced him with someone else.
