That much an inflation in 5 years? Turning 730 up to 808? Are you sure about this?

Avengers on Top as it should. All the top super-heroes banding together would do that.

Pretty impressed by the showing of Superman(78) and Batman(89)

More people watched Iron Man 3 though. Tickets sold:
    Iron Man 3 - 48.8 million
    Iron Man - 44.3 million
    Iron Man 2 - 39.3 million

About 4 million people more people paid to watch Iron Man 3 at a theater than Iron Man and almost 10 million more than Iron Man 2.

It's interesting to compare box office to tickets sold. They don't always track. Examples: Iron Man 3 is #3 in box office, but only #10 in tickets sold. Batman Forever is #15 in tickets sold,
but didn't even make the box office top 18. Deadpool stays at #16 but Wonder Woman moves up to #12. The Dark Knight moves to #2 from #6.

    1. The Avengers (2012): 76,881,200
    2. The Dark Knight (2008): 74,463,500
    3. Spider-Man (2002): 69,484,700
    4. Batman (1989): 62,954,600
    5. Spider-Man 2 (2004): 60,158,700
    6. The Dark Knight Rises (2012): 57,581,800
    7. Superman (1978): 57,358,100
    8. The Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015): 53,526,900
    9. Spider-Man 3 (2007): 48,914,300

    13. Iron Man (2008): 44,345,900

It's very easy to forget how much of a monster at the box office Batman '89 was. I think it earned like $251 million domestically. When you track that to inflation, $551 million. That's mind-boggling numbers.

I remember at the time it was really a phenom. Everybody was wearing the Batman stuff, baseball caps, running shoes, back packs, t-shirts, etc...Even though those other movies were successful, I have never seen anything like that ever since. (until say the Prequels or TFA). It was really an exciting time too.
