It's a simple question. Which is better?

Seinfeld and it's not even close for me. Seinfeld is just my kind of humor. More subversive and narcissistic and cynical. Just great writing and talent.
Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

One was a genre changing show, the other was funny at times.

    Not a contest, Seinfeld.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

    Seinfeld hands down.

    Friends wasn't funny at all.

I can't root for any character on either shows except Chandler. To be fair on Seinfeld though, they are awful people and that's the point and that's what makes it so good. Friends were trying to make them all awesome characters but they weren't except Chandler.

Seinfeld. One of the few shows at the time where every character was a self centered jerk. Sure there were shows like Taxi where Louie was a jerk, or Cheers with Norm and Fraiser.
But most everyone else was nice. No one on Seinfeld could be considered a nice person. Which made it unique for comedy. You could laugh at how awful they were.

Friends was just Seinfeld with pretty people, without the nastiness.

I'm one of those weird people that could never get into either of them, apparently.

    I hate both.
"I rhyme with tyre - And cause pollution - I think you'll find - It's the best solution: What Am I?"

"And that's the essential problem with 'Planetary' right there. When Elijah Snow says, 'The world is a strange place'... he gets Dracula, Doc Savage and Godzilla... When we say it, we get The Captain Fire-Cock Rock 'n' Roll Spectacular."

    Frasier...

...Friends if I have to pick between these two.

The characters on Seinfeld were more annoying to me.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Seinfeld and it's not even close

Seinfeld is arguably the greatest sitcom in history and inspired the likes of Curb Your Enthusiasm and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Friends was mostly popular with chicks in their 20's/30's.
