Well, it's kinda based on who sold more records and i have to limit the number too or else the game wouldnt end.

It's impossible to have a good list that everyone agrees with. Personally I'd love to have The Kinks, Madness and The Yardbirds - but the line has to be drawn somewhere.

I do wonder how some of those bands got in though. Who on earth are Chicago and Foreigner?

Seriously? You've never heard of either of those two bands?

I can kind of understand never having heard of Chicago, who were much more popular in the States than the rest of the world, but Foreigner? I'd hardly describe them as the best band of all time but they sold a serious amount of records during the 1970s/80s and were responsible for some very well known songs. I've seen them live and they were actually really good, I enjoyed them a lot more than I was expecting.

I just looked on Wikipedia. I know "I Want to Know What Love Is" - but one power ballad from the 80s doesn't seem enough to put them on this list. I checked out Chicago and it looks like they did one 80s power ballad that I recognise as well (If You Leave Me Now).
