All this discussion about the character has made me nostalgic and now I want to read it again. I have a graphic novel to finish and then I'm going to do just that. Fun times!

You ever had a book that you were just way too intimidated to read. Starman IS THAT book for me. There's such high praises for this series and i don't want to be let down. Haha every time i visit B&N that Starman Omnibus is staring right at me. The book's theme seems to be legacy and that's something that i can get behind.

I can tell you that it is not intimidating at all. Robinson weaves a majestic story about an every day guy who has a great responsibility thrust upon him.

Yep, Jayne was/is Sadie. But my question remains, I wonder if we'll see her since she is Will's sister?

I'm not like psychic or anything,lol, but like I said the best chance we have of seeing Will's supporting cast is if he gets a mini-series or something

Hey Jekyll, do you have the floppies of Jack's Starman or the omnis?

I still have my floppies because I intend to get them bound. I also was very tempted to buy the omnis but decided against it because I heard they didn't include the letters pages, which is a travesty.

Through eBay and dollar bins I have the entire run in single issues. I also have the first omnibus and several of the TPB’s that were released lol I’m as much a star freak as I am a flash freak. I LOVE this series!!! It has so much heart and the positive family aspect is something you don’t see much in modern comics.

I probably have to actually read the run to get a better understanding.

I think so. I own all six volumes, and they are among the crown jewels of my trade collection. The Harris covers are beautiful, the paper quality is solid. There are no letter page reprints but it does have a lot of extra pages from various Secret Files and other backup material. Really, I think this is a story that doesn't require extra fluff to make the omni worthwhile.

The book has a high pedigree, and I get how that could be intimidating and make you feel like it'll let you down, but just go in with an open mind and no expectations. Take it for what it is and not what people have told you it is, and see what you think of it.

Hopefully, she is great. I've never seen her in anything so I guess I'll have to wait for this to come out to see.

Cant speak for her acting ability but she looks the part. I hope the show is quality and they can pull the whole thing off properly.

Darn. I liked that element in Robinson's run .
