Starman/Stargirl Appreciation!

Perhaps I should read some of Wills run from Starman because I’ve never seen the appeal for him.

So, I started reading Starman by Robinson again on Tuesday and I just finished #16. It was a good place to end for the day.

It has been a while since I read this series, so I wanted to read it again. And just as I figured, it's as magnificent as I remember it.

I love the stories, the artwork and the colors match the tone of the book perfectly.

Robinson is a master at weaving several background stories into the main character's story brilliantly.

I remember picking up this book every month and just being blown away by the characters and rich history of them and the Opal. And the book had a golden age vibe to it. You can really tell how Robinson worked hard at creating that small touch. It wasn't overtly done. But it was always hanging in the background layers of the book.

And finally, I have to talk about the letters pages. When I get this set bound, I am definitely including the letters pages. Not only does Robinson give hints at what is to come, but he encourages fans to write in about what they love to collect. And it doesn't have to be comics. I absolutely love reading about all the different things that people wrote about. If you have the omnis of this book, I would highly recommend rummaging through quarter bins for single issues just to see what I'm talking about.

I’ve only seen the girl cast for Courtney and she looks the part. I’m very excited for this show! Wish we could get Courtney back in the comic side of things.

Yvette Monreal is more than likley playing Wildcat as she is Latina, like the character is. Other than her, I don't know who anybody else is playing.

He was! He had jack Knights cosmic staff, jacket, and goggles but had the star spangled kids shirt. That will suck if the Knights have no involvement.
