Every Starman showed up in Jack Knights series, albeit sometimes heavily edited to fit what was then in continuity. So the Starman of 1951 was Charles McNider (a.k.a. Dr. Mid-Nite) spoilers:
    and then David Knight
end of spoilers instead of Bruce Wayne.

I've mentioned elsewhere that I'd like to see the N52 Earth 2 drop out of the Orrery of Worlds and be replaced by a new Earth 2. The basis for this new Earth 2 would actually be Jack Knight's Starman series and the JSA series that spun out of it, building the rest of the universe to conform to what we see there.

I am re-reading Starman and I absolutely love this series. If I could only bring one run to a deserted island this would be what I took with me.

If there was to be a Starman tv show or movie, who would you cast to star in it?

I remember there was talk of a Starman digital TV show a while back, but it doesn't seem like anything's come from that.

That is tragic! I would love to see a live action adaptation of this series.

I always come back to Tony Harris' idea that Justin Theroux would be an ideal Jack Knight, and James Robinson's suggestion of Jonathan Pryce as The Shade. Of course, they would have been better 10-15 years ago, but they could still do it.

Justin would be an awesome Jack. I think Mark Strong would be an incredible Shade.

Huh, I didn't even know this thread existed. Sweet! Robinson's Starman is one of my favorite runs of all time.

It did indeed. Another thing I loved about the series was the letters page. It was so cool.

Has there been any mention of Will Payton since his one panel in Metal?

Speaking of Will Payton, is anyone else interested in seeing him and Prince Gavyn somehow split up into two separate entities?
