    1975 World Series Reds vs. Red Sox Game Six, Carlton Fisk's walk-off home run. I was 6 years old and my dad let me stay up and watch this game with him...

    First of all, any real sports fan has had their chest kicked in more times than they care to recall OK. They can bring up instances 10, 20, 30 years ago where their heart got ripped the f out on an otherwise absolutely beautiful day. It's what it is, unfortunately the lows are lower than the height of any single high. That said some of the highs can be pretty fucking good. I've been a Cubs fan since Andre Dawson and Shaun Dunston were on the team in the late 80s and last years WS win was something I'd have stayed up until dawn the next day to see. That was great but I'm a football fan most. Being down 21-6 late in the 3rd quarter to the gut damned stinkin' Patriots in the 2006 AFC Championship game and coming back to win. Is period point blank #1. Wining the Superbowl was just icing on the cake.

    Beefing up the old home security, huh?

    Here's some of mine;

    The shot in Utah for the Bulls' 6th Championship

    Secretariat demolishing his field to win the Belmont in New York, completing his Triple Crown. Running uncontested, he ran the fastest 1 and 1/2 miles in the history of the Belmont. No horse has matched it since then. Besides that, he ran the early stages in good time for a sprinter....and just kept going. The videos are grainy but at the end of the race he was about 1/16 of a mile ahead of everyone else

    I've got quite a few but my ultimate favourite moment would be being at Wembley and watching Swansea beat Reading 4-2 in the Championship Play Off Final in 2011. Not ashamed to admit I cried that day!

    As a native Detroiter, 2004 Pistons vs. Lakers.

    Shaq and Kobe Lakers going to mop up another Eastern team in a sweep. Gary Payton and Karl Malone are finally going to get the rings they chased for! Lakers in 4 cause Pistons can't score! Just listening to the media utterly dismiss Detroit.

    And Detroit proceeded to beat the shit out of them 4 games to 1. The only one the Lakers won was a last second shot to send it to overtime.

    5 Game sweep. Short of the Lions ever winning the Super Bowl it's never getting topped for me.
