However, Elvis himself let it be known that he had been a huge fan of comic books as a young teen, and many people do claim that he was especially fascinated by Captain Marvel Sr. and Jr., and they assert that in particular by the time Elvis had graduated from high school he had started styling his hair with the now-famous spit curl to look more nearly like his hero.
