    That is a fine philosophy.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Reports of the death of his sarcasm has been greatly exaggerated.

Unstable molecules. I just dig the 70's vibe being born in the beginning of that decade.

Truly outrageous, one of two bands I'm surprised hasn't made the list yet.

I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

He was a lonely boy in a broken land
Where people were living and dying in the name of a higher man
And then one day into his hand the power of rock and roll

She was a hungry girl for a caring world
And the rules say don't take a step over there but she carries on
And drawn one day into the force by the power of rock and roll

Believe it or not, this was once ripped-from-the-headlines relevant...

You can find a bunch of books I wrote stories for here. The weekly column is here.

    Great covers so far, everyone!

However, Elvis himself let it be known that he had been a huge fan of comic books as a young teen, and many people do claim that he was especially fascinated by Captain Marvel Sr. and Jr., and they assert that in particular by the time Elvis had graduated from high school he had started styling his hair with the now-famous spit curl to look more nearly like his hero.
    Interesting connection & info, seismic--thanks!

Somewhat related: I've read that the naturally light brown-haired Elvis dyed his hair black in order to emulate his big screen idol, Tony Curtis.
