I've NEVER been into Batman. I've just been reading comic books since 1958 with Dick Grayson in them--and usually Batman is around.

The Animated Series, all static-y with a set of bunny ears because the local station's broadcast antenna was so far from our house. Good times. Between the darkness of the episode and the reception I didn't know what was going on half the time but I still loved it. Full on live orchestral soundtrack, great stories, and police zeppelins!

I watched Batman returns and the reruns of Adam West's Batman and The animated series almost at the same time but though I liked 60's batman and I loved Batman returns it was the animated series what made a fan.

Batman '66, Batman '89 and especially the wonderful Batman: The Animated Series. I started properly getting into the Batman comic books with Batman Begins (2005)

I was born in 88 and grew up in the 90s. So I remember when Batman: The Animated Series premiered. As soon as the music started up, I was hooked!

Two things: the 1989 Batman movie and original Animated Series from the 1990s.

What got me into Batman? Depends on when you want to talk about it.

As a kid? Reruns of the '66 Batman series. Loved that thing to pieces.

As a teen/adult? Robin. Specifically, Tim Drake. The first DC comic I ever bought was Johns Teen Titans, and that because Robin and Superboy were on the cover. From there, I ended up going backwards to Young Justice, then to Tim's Robin solo book. And finally around to Batman.

I still tend to prefer the Robins over the Bat. Jason and Tim are probably my favorite DC characters of all time. (Call it Tim pre-Flashpoint, and Jason afterward.) King and Seeley's Grayson finally got me into Nightwing. And Morrison sold me hard on Damian. My favorite Batman run ever isn't Bruce in the suit, it's Grayson.

But it's hard to argue with Batman. He's a character that works in so many tones, so many styles.

Batman Under the Red hood really made me care about the series because I loved Jason Todd backstory and I was mad just like him when I was watching asking why Batman didnt avenge him.
I did watch the old animated series when I was younger but I really enjoy Batman Beyond so it took a while before I cared about Bruce Wayne. But now how they market the character I pretty much wanted to know why he is so popular cause I though superman was Dc #1. And I didnt even know he could beat anyone I only remember that he was a ninja with money not one of the smartest characters in the verse. So thats how I got into Batman.

    1 - Adam West's Batman
2 - The Joker's Five Way Revenge (in a British black and white reprint magazine)
3 - The Dark Knight Returns

That was me well and truly hooked.
