Superwoman: what happened?

The first issue of Superwoman published after Superman Reborn had Lana climbing out of one of Superman's Kryptonian power suits depowered. Two questions:

1. In the Reborn timeline, how did she get the powers that she lost in that issue? It wasn't from the death of Superman Red, because post-Reborn there was no Superman Red. So how was the first part of the series revised by the new hybrid timeline?

2. What's the status of her powers now? Did she somehow regain the energy powers, or did she pick up new powers somehow?

1. It's unclear how Lana got her powers in the Post Reborn timeline since Pre 52 and New 52 Superman got fused into one. Presumably she got them from a solar flare outburst or maybe Final Days of Superman did happen but Superman didn't die at the end of it. Basically it's not mentioned how Lana got her powers, only that they were from Superman somehow.

2. Lana did get her energy powers back first from a power suit made by Steel then she could use them independently. It was revealed in the last issue of Superwoman that Lana wore a red Kryptonite necklace when she was in high school and that her powers come from Red K.

Oh, wait, this isn't about Lucy. I keep thinking of Lucy Lane every time someone says Superwoman.

In the older stuff didn't Lana become that insect queen character?

What?! That's awesome. ..could they be bringing back her Pre-Crisis connection to the Legion? Or am I reading too much into it? Looks like I gotta get caught up on this series. ..I haven't read anything since Jimenez left.
