First off, probably a good idea to refresh yourself with the board-wide CBR Standards and Rules. These are hard and fast requirements that you're expected to be mindful of at all times.
Second, we need to give notice of a few things that seem on the rise across Batman board lately and that we're going to be cracking down harder on going ahead. Should be fairly straightforward;
Baby posts will be deleted. Anything requiring the inclusion of "10 chars" or variations of "This!" or "well said" that does not add further comment or contribution, or are just generally brainless little nothing-posts. Put some thought into it applies to all posting.
"Fixed it for you", "butthurt", "not a true fan" and "SJW" will be deleted. These are particularly obnoxious forms of snark that are generally the resort of fools.
Double posts will be deleted i.e leaving two posts in a row within minutes of each other. Collect your thoughts into a single reply and remember there's a reason there's an Edit button...please use it! If you do accidentally leave a double post then merge your comments into one and a mod will delete the empty post later. In Appreciation threads please leave no more than 3 images per day.
Aggressively stupid posts will be deleted. Harder to define but essentially means that blatant or careless idiocy will not be given a pass. This includes inventing straw-man arguments (i.e. deliberately twisting other peoples comments), circular logic, antagonistic snark and anything else that generally annoys reasonable people. Note however this is NOT an excuse to begin reporting posts that you simply happen to disagree with - reporting should be reserved for personal attacks or discrimination. You have a difference of opinion? Debate it like civil adults.
Moderator actions are off-topic. The reason for any edit or deletion should be self evident - we're not required to explain it to you and above all, do not whine about it in-thread. If you have a question or comment we welcome it in PM - feel free to speak your mind but it needs to be directly.
That's all for now - needless to say that anyone making a pattern of the above will very quickly earn themselves lashings and/or exile.
We'd also prefer we NOT need a permanent rules sticky so will likely just bump once in a while going ahead for new members as well as a general reminder. I think we all prefer a style of modding that is as invisible and unobtrusive as possible, which extends to avoiding a public repetition of rules and standards unless where absolutely required. If everyone could do likewise and please avoid calling out other posters or being the Rules Sheriff, that would be appreciated. Any slip ups will be handled and moved on with a minimum of fuss!
Hope that's all clear - any questions...PM
