Highly, HIGHLY recommend Green Lanterns. I didn't read Johns' JL, but GLs is one of the best books from Rebirth and the character development Jess has gotten is simply brilliant. Hell, it's because of her development and general characterization (This goes for her partner Simon too, albeit not too as high a degree) that I'd probably call this my favorite run on ANY GL book. And yes, calling anything from the Nu52/Rebirth era "my favorite" DOES kill me a little inside.

Heard what happened. Know what went on with Volthoom and all that. No, I haven't read Darkseid War because I don't CARE about Darkseid War. Nor do I care about Johns' run in general. I read the first arc and hated it. Came back in for the Throne of Atlantis crossover, and while that was excellent, it was only for the Aquaman side of things, with things such as Clark and Diana as a couple and Vic's presence as a founder/generally being boring really bugging me. Aquaman was the only book I was reading by this point (As was the case for most of the Nu52 era) and there was nothing about the League's presence in that story that made me want to continue reading their adventures. Of course the fact that, Arthur aside, the roster consisted of either characters I don't like (Barry, Hal, Vic) or characters whose Nu52 versions I wanted nothing to do with (The Trinity) contributed to that.
