The Addams Family easily for me. I watched it more so my opinion is not totally uncolored by that, but still, I saw enough of The Munsters to know I preferred the characters and style of The Addams Family.

J.Astin, C. Jones, J.Coogan and the rest were great fun. Hilarious clever writing.

I liked both, but the Addams Family seemed more subtle in its humor. The characters weren't just caricatures of Universal horror movie tropes.... thanks mostly to Charles Addams and his cartoons. Also, I really liked the house.

I did enjoy the Addams Family movies, but I have a hard time seeing a TV reboot of either series doing anything other than sucking. We've just lost the ability to make shows like that.

The Munsters spoofed horror movies better (as in the Addams Family barely did that at all) but the Addams Family is a much, much better comedy.
