    X-Factor: Genesis & Apocalypse (X-Men) Paperback – May 24, 2016

As one of the greatest X-Men of all makes her triumphant return, one of mutantkind's deadliest threats debuts! When Jean Grey is found alive - with a little help from the Avengers and the Fantastic Four - she reunites with the rest of Xavier's original class to form X-Factor! But as Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Beast, Angel and Iceman face new enemies Tower and Frenzy, little do they know the villains are part of an Alliance of Evil led by... Apocalypse! They'll encounter uncanny new foes like Bulk and Glow Worm, and old sparring partners in Freedom Force, but there's no question who will rise to the role of their arch-nemesis. The story of En Sabah Nur begins here!

If I had to guess, I'd say X-Factor 1-8, plus Fantastic Four 286 and Avengers 263 (the two Phoenix Rising issues, which serve as prelude to X-Factor 1). X-Factor 9 is the start of Mutant Massacre, so my guess is that it would end prior to that. But without a page count, it might go farther (if this is Epic/Complete/Ultimate Collection-sized, then maybe it goes to just before Fall of the Mutants and includes the first Annual).

The page count was given, 384. And it would actually fit the content of the FF and Avengers issue, first 8 and annual, and two other X-Factor appearances, Amazing #282 and Iron Man Annual #8 I think. But now Amazon has the content and it's: AVENGERS (1963) 263; FANTASTIC FOUR (1961) 286; X-FACTOR (1986) 1-9; X-FACTOR ANNUAL 1; MATERIAL FROM CLASSIC X-MEN 8, 43.

Similarly, Amazon now lists the contents of X-Men: The Rise of Apocalypse as the following:

RISE OF APOCALYPSE 1-4, FURTHER ADVENTURES OF CYCLOPS & PHOENIX 1-4, X-MEN: APOCALYPSE/DRACULA 1-4, BLACK KNIGHT: EXODUS, FANTASTIC FOUR (1961) 19

Why wouldn't the Doctor Strange Omnibus just be the first 3 Masterworks like most (I know not all) of the other Silver Age titles?

So it is exclusively all Steve Ditko issues. Not that I agree with it, but that's the reason.

I suppose the thought is some might want to stop there? Maybe there's a royalties issue and capping the book at the end there makes more sense that way. I dunno. I kinda just assumed it'd be the 1st 3 masterworks, too.
"Boomerang arrow, Kate... It comes back to you in the end. Boomerang. Respect it." - Clint
"Why the hell do you need an arrow that comes back to you after you shoot it, Clint?" - Kate
    "Because... Boomerangs." - Clint.

It must be a Ditko rights thing. Just looked at the SA Spider-man omnibi. Volume 1 ends Ditko's run and Volume 2 starts up with Romita. These omnibi don't go by the 3 Masterworks rule as well. There's 7 in the 2 volumes. Funny that the Masterworks don't follow the same rule.

    Can anyone explain?

I think it was a mistake both times. The first Spider-Man was too big the first Dr. Strange will be too small.

Guess the Netflix hype has some merit. The Alias omnibus moved back up to number 10 on the IST top sellers list.

I think it is easy to get caught up in our little world where moving 2000 units a month is amazing to realize the true reach and scope of screen entertainment, where moving 2000 units of related merchandise is an almost unnoticeable side effect of a few million eyeballs.

So would this one be something like a sequel or companion to The Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix (except set in the past rather than the distant future)?

If so, I'd check this out. Shame I already own the Black Knight: Exodus one-shot in my Bloodties Comixology collection, but we're allowed a bit of redundancy.

Okay, I'm drawing the line here. I was interested in those Star Wars and Master of Kun-gu omni's but not at that price, I just won't do it. Also, why would they release a Squadron Supreme omni when they already released half the stuff in an omni, it just comes across very milk-ish, forcing people who love the Squadron to buy two omni's. Lousy, Marvel, lousy.

The first of the secret wars OHCs!

Also, LOL @ Kung fu being half the pages of the new irritating Squadron book at the same price.

Also, we've hit the era of Omnis reissuing material instead of reprinting so fans are tempted to double dip!
