I'm listening to The Collapsing Empire by John Scalzi A sci fi empire type novel. Humanity separated from Earth and having to live in colonies that branched out from earth thousands of years ago. Really enjoyed it finished it on the way home. One of the characters is extremely profane though so Fbombs galore on audiobook if that matters. Fine for me


Also reading Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky. Hallfway into it right now very interesting concept. Humans trying to terraform viable planets etc. And different factions of humanity not liking the idea of genetic manipulation used in the "plan". Thousands of years pass and I'm only halfway through

God, I love that story. Big fan of the Lon Chaney, Jr.-Burgess Meredith film, too. BTW, the first time I heard of it was in a Scholastic News report 40-something years ago - it had an excerpt from the play featuring James Earl Jones and Kevin Conway.

Just started reading The Panther (2012) by Nelson DeMille, the sixth book from the John Corey series.

I found it to be entertaining enough. Some repetitions here and there and there a couple of really weird scenes but that's a fun read.

And an important step in Arthurian literature.

On my Kindle today, I will tackle The Con Man (1957) by Ed McBain. It's the fourth novel from his 87th Precinct series and also the fourth I have read.

The only Arthurian novel I have ever read was The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley. An outstanding book, IMO.
