For me, it’s a matter that the costumes don’t look like they belong in a utopia setting much less in the 21st century. It feels like they escaped from Marvel 1602.

For the AoXM costumes, I like Magneto's look and Kurt and Colossus' costumes are fine if a bit boring, the rest of the Marvelous looks are not great. The Apoc book just looks like a mess. I like most of the costumes on the X-tremists, though.

The Marvelous costumes are just boring enough to be blown on an AU without issue.

The Pooky crew looks awesome. Respect his crypn. They're definitely the neckst big thang.
